Derichebourg Spain Albalate del Arzobispo – Lead, formerly known as Recuperación Ecológica de Baterías, S.L. (RECOBAT) is a project that began in 1998, thanks to the collaboration between Derichebourg Spain and a group of professionals with a wide experience in the world of lead recycling.
In 1998 a plant was put into operation in Pina de Ebro (Zaragoza-Spain) for end-of-life batteries grinding and; after consolidating his activity, in 2006 a complete new grinding and metallurgy plant came into operation in Albalate del Arzobispo (Teruel-Spain).
The main activity of Recobat is end-of-life batteries and all kind of lead compounds recycling to obtain recycled raw materials that can be fed back into the battery manufacturing process, mainly for the Automobile Industry.
Recobat has a wide truck fleet and container services for withdrawals at client’s premises that allows rendering services to small producers and also to intermediate agents.
In both plants, Recobat uses cutting edge technology that totally guarantees the use of the Best Available Techniques (BAT).
The team of professionals at Recobat combines the experience in the sector with the youth of the highly qualified and specialized personnel. Thanks to this team, Recobat develops most of their own technologies and only turns to different companies when the complexity or specialization requires the participation of professionals from more specific sectors.
At Recobat we buy lead acid batteries and other lead compounds for recycling and transformation into recycled lead in various forms: bullion(unrefined lead cones), pure lead ingots (with LME certification) and diverse lead alloys ingots (Lead-calcium, lead-antimony and many others).
